The icons of peace, of nature, of belonging or acceptance, of fortitude are all the victims to some extent of the war that we continue to wage against ourselves, the planet and integrity. I still believe that light will prevail over darkness. It is just that I find myself less certain to what degree it will succeed and how much power it still exerts on our souls and our hearts.
